Earthquake to Bizarre Street Art

The solid cube structure stood in a quiet, rundown Christchurch street. Disturbingly, in the dead of night, chains tightened, spotlights shone. Suddenly, the creaky crane groaned and hummed. Artists and construction crew stood silently, nervous yet excited – the atmosphere was charged, buzzing.

Curiously, the colossal structure ascended lazily before landing perched perilously on the gallery’s cold, concrete rooftop.

Gracefully, the glowing vibrant sun rose,  Quasi stood – strange and serene. The vision of one man, artist (Ronnie Van Hout) – a human form but not quite  human!
